Recently, the National Energy Administration released statistics on the national power industry in the first half of this year. From January to June this year, the country’s primary industry power consumption was 47.5 billion kWh, an increase of 5.9%; the secondary industry power consumption was 1.66 trillion kWh, a year-on-year increase 11.7%, the tertiary industry used 238.4 billion kWh of electricity, an increase of 15.3%. Among them, the six major energy-consuming industries, including electric power, steel, building materials, nonferrous metals, chemicals and petrochemicals, are still the main driving forces for the growth of electricity consumption in the whole society.

Relevant persons from the National Energy Administration said in an interview that the absolute amount of electricity used by the six high-energy-consuming industries accounted for 2/3 of the electricity used by the secondary industry and more than half of the electricity used by the whole society. Other analysts pointed out that with the full launch of the construction of domestic affordable housing in the future, it will drive the demand for related products in the steel, building materials and cement industries, and the demand for electricity in high-energy-consuming industries may further increase.

Electricity consumption has always been referred to as the "vane" of economic development. Industry insiders pointed out that the power consumption of the secondary and tertiary industries is very different, indicating that the tertiary industry still accounts for a relatively small proportion of the overall economic structure. This is also torturing the domestic economy. The effectiveness of structural adjustments.
